Broadcast hierarchy

  1. BBC for canonical UK transmission dates and iPlayer availability.
  2. PBS MASTERPIECE for US schedules, official episode pages, transcripts and features.
  3. Earlier BritBox releases recorded separately, never substituted for BBC One dates.

Production hierarchy

  1. Eleventh Hour Films / programme credits for production companies and crew.
  2. Official venue statements for filming at a named property.
  3. Credible secondary reporting labelled Reported until a primary source confirms it.

Books and author

  1. Anthony Horowitz’s official site for current book/news records.
  2. Official publishers for edition-specific dates and formats.

Official

Direct BBC, PBS, production-credit, production-company or official-author support.

Venue-confirmed

The location owner confirms filming, but the precise fictional identity may remain unresolved.

Reported

A credible secondary/local source supports the claim, but no production or venue confirmation has been found.

Unverified

A research lead only. It is not a filming fact and is not used to recommend a visit.

No visual guesswork

A building, street or landscape is never identified because it merely resembles the screen image. Exact locations require a production credit, broadcaster/production statement, venue confirmation or sufficiently strong documentary reporting. Unresolved Bloomsbury House, Branlow Hall, Moonflower Hotel and Marble Hall leads remain visibly unresolved.

Maintenance

All 13 location profiles, their official links, access, transport and visitor restrictions were rechecked on 12 October 2026. Broadcast and book sources retain their individual checked dates.
